Plains E&P Reports Early Eagle Ford Success

Plains E&P has four rigs in the Eagle Ford Shale and expects to have four to six rigs drilling in 2011. There are 10 wells waiting on completion or connection to pipelines.

Two notable wells recently completed by PXP are the Julie 1H, completed with an IP rate of ~990 b/d and 826 Mcf/d, and the Julie 2H well, with an IP rate of ~920 b/d and 756 Mcf/d. PXP has 100% WI in these wells.

In the Texas Panhandle, PXP has five rigs drilling in the Granite Wash trend and expects to continue at this level through 2011. Seven wells are waiting on completion or connection to pipelines. Net Q4 sales were ~8,000 boe/d. Average daily sales are expected to increase to ~17,000 boe/d net by year end.
